QUILTING WORKSHOPS – at Jukejema, Nowra

Jukejema Quilting Barn is not only the place to go to get all your patchwork and quilting supplies. They also have a range of classes including embroidery classes, patchwork classes and one-day workshops – a fun activity for a group looking for something creative and different.

JEWELLERY WORKSHOPS – Berry

If you’d like to learn to fashion sterling silver to make your own jewellery pieces, Apple Eye’s workshops are perfect. You’ll learn traditional silversmith methods and have the chance to create your own rings, earrings, pendants and bangles in a small group setting. (You can also book a one-on-one session.) 

CHOCOLATE WORKSHOPS – Berry
The kids will love heading to The Treat Factory on the outskirts of Berry for their special holiday “BEAN TO BAR” chocolate school workshops. In it, they’ll learn all about where chocolate comes from (no kids, it’s not the supermarket aisle) and of course, enjoy a ‘hands-on’ tasting experience!

Local group Gadhungal Marring offers short and full-day workshops and cultural experience on indigenous art, weaving, dance, walking tours and more. In particular, they focus on our connection with the land and strive to provide stories and insights into the traditional owners.

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS – Jervis Bay
Join Shoalhaven-based experienced professional photographer Peter Izzard for an all-levels guide to photography – both with your camera or on your phone. Pete has a love of the outdoors and will help you unlock the best way to capture your memories of a location, as well as getting the most out of family snaps – including pets!

ART WORKSHOPS – Milton
Join artist, illustrator and teacher Julie Sydenham (aka ‘Jules’) at her unique teaching studio in the heart of Milton, to enjoy a one-day workshop in everything from charcoal drawing to oil painting, watercolours, pastels, mixed media and more. BAKING WORKSHOPS – Milton

At Milk Haus in Milton, you’ll find a working kitchen garden and a bustling kitchen that works just as hard to make the most of these fresh ingredients. As well as the on-site cafe, you can also take part in regular ‘bakeclub’ workshops to learn how to make pies, tarts, bread and much more!

CHEESE WORKSHOPS – Kangaroo Valley

Valley Cheesemakers cater (literally!) to small groups and any occasion to deliver a unique personalised cheesemaking workshop experience. You’ll learn how to make a combination of classic cheeses, soft white cheeses or firm cheeses – tailored to suit your taste (literally!).
