There’s nothing quite like that holiday feeling – settling in and having everything you could possibly need for the perfect South Coast escape at your fingertips. And at Holiday Haven’s 12 stunning parks, this is totally possible. On the doorstep of HOLIDAY HAVEN BENDALONG:
Monument Beach Ride - Nerringillah Road, Bendalong
This is one of many cycling routes weaving through Conjola National Park, with a route that takes you along unsealed roads through turpentine and blackbutt forest, wildflowers, wattle and banksia to Monument Beach picnic area where there are scenic views of the rocky coastline and vast ocean. Bird watchers will also want to have their binoculars handy!
On the doorstep of HOLIDAY HAVEN BURRILL LAKE:
The Fish Shop & Lagom Bakery - McDonald Parade, Burrill Lake
Literally a short five-minute stroll out of the park, this unassuming venue has some of the freshest, finest fish and chips not just on the South Coast, but in NSW. In fact, people travel from miles to enjoy these tasty treats – and you have them on your doorstep. And why not start your day next door with fresh coffee and small batch sourdough at the Lagom Bakery. For a location that’s “away from it all”, you’re very spoilt at Burrill Lake!
On the doorstep of HOLIDAY HAVEN CULBURRA BEACH:
Burra Bike & Board - Prince Edward Ave, Culburra Beach
Fitting equipment on the back (and top) of the car can be a struggle – as can buying the equipment in the first place for it to gather dust most of the year. Enter Burra Bike & Board – where you can pick up all kinds of bikes (including fat-tyred bike for cruising the beach), kids bike trailers, beginner foam surfboards and SUP paddleboards for exploring the beautiful waterways that surround Culburra on all sides.
On the doorstep of HOLIDAY HAVEN CURRARONG:
Gosang’s Tunnel - Point Perpendicular, Currarong
A pleasant and well-signposted walk from the Abraham’s Bosom Reserve amongst the shrubbery of Point Perpendicular will bring you to this spectacular natural feature. The hole and 20-metre-long cave in the rocks is big enough for an adult to crawl through and your reward as you pop out the other side is a breathtakingly beautiful stack of sea cliff shelves. Be sure to bring your camera!
On the doorstep of HOLIDAY HAVEN HUSKISSON BEACH:
Dolphin Watch Cruises - Owen Street, Huskisson
Jervis Bay is home to 120 resident bottlenose dolphins and Dolphin Watch’s 17m triple deck catamaran (with five viewing platforms, all-weather covers and complimentary morning/afternoon tea) is the ultimate way to view them! And, if you’re lucky enough to visit between mid-May and late November, you may also see humpback, southern right, and minke whales, as well as seals, penguins and albatross!
On the doorstep of HOLIDAY HAVEN KANGAROO VALLEY:
Kangaroo Valley Horse Riding - Hillcrest View Lane, Kangaroo Valley
Leave your worries behind as you ride on well-trained horses (comfortable with all experience levels) through pristine bush about 10 minutes’ drive from the Kangaroo Valley township. The property contains some of the most picturesque landscapes the area has to offer, from rainforest to open grazing land to bush, as well as an abundance of kangaroos, wombats and other wildlife. Saddle up!

Harvest Milton - Croobyar Road, Milton
Already punching above its weight in impressive small-town venues, Milton (just a 10-15 drive from Lake Conjola) invites you Thursday-Sundays to sample the positively pastural surrounds and laid-back vibes of HARVEST boutique bar. Resplendent in rustic/industrial décor, Harvest offers tap craft beers, local and international wines, cocktails, as well as tapas and traditional Mexican food and even live music. A wonderful spot to eat, drink and relax.

Tabourie Lake Museum - Princes Highway, Lake Tabourie
Take a trip into the past without travelling too far at all with the Tabourie Lake Museum – a wonderfully diverse collection showcasing more than 12,000 artefacts from late 1800s and early 1900s Australian history. Also sharing the site is The South Coast Railway History Museum, which includes the Southern Shoalhaven light rail and timber tramways from a bygone era.

Sussex Inlet Stand Up Paddle - Goonawarra Dr, Cudmirrah
Paddle the crystal blue waters of Swan Lake and explore Sussex Inlet with a fun eco-friendly journey, learning to paddle board along the untouched and pristine waters of Swan Lake, Sussex River and Berrara Creek. You’ll also increase your core strength and fitness (they even offer SUP pilates classes!) in this safe, fun, and highly addictive water sport. Take lessons, go on a guided tour or just hire a board and give it a try yourself – it’s your choice!

Skirmish Ulladulla - Woodstock Rd, Milton
There’s nothing duller than a bored teenager so here’s a high energy activity all within an easy 10-minute drive of your Ulladulla Holiday Haven Park. Of course, this isn’t just fun for teenagers – anyone 14+ years can enjoy this paintball experience, with six playing fields to choose from, as well as a variety of different scenarios. During the half-day sessions, players can explore the terrain in a series of exciting challenges. A major adrenaline rush!

Dive Jervis Bay - Owen St, Huskisson
With one of the world’s best aquatic playgrounds right in front of you, why not explore all of it by going ‘down under’? Dive Jervis Bay offers a variety of trips for scuba diving and snorkelling as you experience some of the 60+ great dives of Jervis Bay Marine Park. The team are trained to the highest standard and are qualified to look after either the novice or experienced diver’s in-water needs, including dive courses. The perfect spot to tick this off your bucket list!
