Travel safety information – COVID -19

18 Mar 2020

At Holiday Haven we understand the desire for guests to continue to support the local communities that have already been through so much this year. Whilst we appreciate the continued visitation and support of both tourists and locals, the health and wellbeing of our guests, staff and all who visit our parks is of utmost importance.

In light of the concerns regarding the spread of Coronavirus, we have implemented additional processes to minimise the risk and provide peace of mind for guests who are due to stay in one of our twelve parks.

  • We are actively monitoring the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates released from the World Health Organization and Australian Government Department of Health, and will continue to respond based on the best advice provided.
  • All guests will be issued with a pre-arrival form 5 days prior to arriving in a Holiday Haven park. This will include a questionnaire outlining recent travel history and basic health information.
  • We are installing additional handwash dispensers in high traffic and communal areas.
  • An express check-in process is currently being rolled out across selected Holiday Haven parks, to assist with social distancing between staff and guests.
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning in public and high-touch areas.

It is also recommended that you;

  • Clean your hands regularly with soap for a minimum of 20 seconds.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or bent elbow when coughing or sneezing. And dispose of used tissues in an appropriate manner.
  • Avoid touching your face, nose and mouth. And avoid shaking hands.
  • Avoid contact with anyone who is unwell – try to stay 1.5m away from anyone coughing or sneezing.
  • Postpone your travel if you are experiencing any symptoms.
  • Stay in your cabin/site, seek medical attention and inform park management (via phone) if you are experiencing a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing during your stay.
