Relax with camping babymoons

04 Jul 2018

If you’re planning an overseas babymoon it’s best to travel during your first or second trimester - after 28 weeks you will be required to carry a medical certificate. Many airlines will let you travel up to 36-38 weeks (32 weeks for twins) this will vary so best to discuss your babymoon plans with your obstetrician and travel agent before making any bookings.

However, if you’re waiting until later in your pregnancy, or perhaps when your maternity leave kicks in, there’s still plenty of options for a safe, relaxing babymoon.

While camping might not first sound like the ideal option for a babymoon, today’s choices of on-site accommodation and cabins provides the break you’re looking for and some of the best locations around. No camping showers, no pit toilets, no cooking over a fire you needed to chop your own wood for - just relaxation, peace and a time out...afternoon nap anyone?

Holiday Haven Tourist Parks are situated in 12 pristine locations across the Shoalhaven, South Coast NSW.  Our parks offer an unique holiday cabin, caravan or camping experience on beachfront, riverfront or lakefront sites.

Just a two hour drive from Sydney and under three hours from Canberra, between Kiama and Bateman's Bay, our beautifully situated and appointed holiday parks offer you the chance to escape the busy city life, enjoy some together time before baby arrives ... Relax...Enjoy...Explore .....and be confident that you’re not too far away from home should someone decide to arrive a little early.

First time parents-to-be Sarah and Tim recently spent their babymoon with Holiday Haven Tourist Parks “We loved our trip, we stayed in a beautiful waterfront cabin with walking distance to shops, cafes and boutiques. We travelled in May which was the perfect time of year, as it was off-peak so the park was quiet and the weather was comfortable for Sarah”.

A camping babymoon provides the opportunity to get offline, to enjoy time away from the hustle bustle and baby prep, to float in the ocean, river, lake (or pool) and take some pressure off your body.
